The instrument you found is used in marine environmental research to protect dolphins.

Please do not open the instrument as it might be unsafe to do so and recorded data may be lost.

The device is approximately 56 cm or 65 cm or 90 cm long, 9 cm diameter and weigh 3.0 kg to 4.4 kg.

If you are willing to assist in returning the device to its owner, please email us at team@chelonia.co.uk with the following information:

• The number written on the housing (or on a small blue label underneath one of the black rubber rings)
• The date the device was found
• The location where it was found
• Any other information that you think would be helpful.

 
We can then identify the owner and will forward your details to them so they can contact you directly to arrange collection.
